Fixed Rate Web Development Services

    I strongly prefer to be paid for my services based on what is appropriate to solve each problem or complete each task. Where my fee is based on the scope of the problem or task, but may or may not have anything to do with how long I spend to deliver the solution. (The more time and effort I invest "preparing in advance" to handle something, the less time I then need working at the computer system.)

    The fees listed on this page are the "per task" amounts I would expect to be paid by an employer. Where for bookkeeping and legal liability reasons, I am paid as a (contract) employee, and any firm I do work for issues me an income tax receipt at the end of the year. That the use of piece-work employment enables me to concentrate on what I do best, while permitting me to exclude costs such as bookkeeping services and liability insurance from what I must charge for my services.

If using a slow (older) PC, then powering up the computer and starting the required programs might possibly take longer than actually performing the update to the Website.
 

Webpage Development Work  . . . . . . . . . $25.00
 

Create a Webpage using a previously created page template, or the updating of a Webpage that should be accomplished in well under an hour. This includes an update to information that occurs on multiple pages if the process used to create the Website will automatically propagate the change to the other pages.
 

Website Development work  . . . . . . . . $60.00
 

Creating a new Webpage from a page template, or some other manner of site update, causes site-wide changes-- such as adding a new section to the site, or changing the structure within the site.
 

Webpage Template Creation  . . . . . . . . $100.00
 

Create a master template for site pages while producing the first Webpage of that type. Thus any similar pages can be produced, or changes can be performed to that type of Webpage within the site, in less time and at a lower cost.
 

Basic Webpage Design Work  . . . . . . . . $125.00
 

I am not starting with a complete page design, so I must also perform some basic design work in order to create a Webpage and page template.

 

    The above amounts are in Canadian funds. For on-site service, please see the Services For Hire Overview page, for information about travel charges and possible surcharges. Including that any "leave whatever I'm doing, and handle this now" emergency will incur at least a 100% surcharge. Payment terms are: All work is billable and immediately due upon satisfactory completion of each individual update or project. (Next payroll cycle accepted. But no Net30 terms, etc..)
